Adam Sawicki

(November 1, 1887. May 20, 1968), Bishop of the Apostolic Administrator of Bialystok. He was ordained in Vil nius, May 2, 1908. Professor and prefect of the seminary in Vilna , the Chancellor mansion metropolitan canon Vilnius. Army activis t, imprisoned by the Germans in 1942-1944. Deported by the Soviet authorities, since 1945 lived in Bialystok in the archdiocese of Vilnius, located in Poland, as the vicar general and capitular 1955-1962.
